Le Burgundy Paris Review: Haute Hotel For Families
Paris's top kid-friendly retreat near the Louvre.
Opting for a family stay at Le Burgundy Hotel Paris with our kids might have seemed unconventional at first. Who brings a toddler to a luxurious boutique hotel in Paris? However, once we arrived and checked in, I was immediately enchanted.
Parenting never takes a break, even on vacation. That's why I've come to appreciate the importance of a comfortable stay in ensuring the happiness of everyone during our travels. Thanks to Le Burgundy Hotel, our first family trip to Paris surpassed all expectations. It was truly "tres" good...
Perhaps it was the thoughtful gestures, such as a bowl of fresh fruit and a collection of children's books thoughtfully placed in our room by the attentive staff. Or maybe it was the dedicated turndown service team who lovingly prepared our girls' beds each night. Whatever the secret was, Le Burgundy attended to every little detail, allowing us to fully savor our time in Paris as a family.

Where is Le Burgundy Hotel Paris located?
Le Burgundy Hotel Paris pleasantly surprised me with its prime location, perfectly situated near all the must-see attractions for families embarking on their first visit to Paris with kids. With the right room selection, you can enjoy a view of the Eiffel Tower just 1.2 miles away from the heart of the city. Situated at 6-8 Rue Duphot in the 1st arrondissement, this charming hotel is conveniently located next to the very first Coco Chanel store and a mere five-minute stroll from the Tuileries Garden. The garden offers a delightful playground and carousel, providing endless fun for little ones experiencing Paris for the first time.
TIP: When planning a visit to the Coco Chanel store located next to Le Burgundy, I recommend arriving 15 minutes before the store opens. This popular boutique attracts a large crowd, and they have a limited capacity, allowing only a certain number of people inside at a time. By arriving early, you can ensure a better chance of exploring this iconic store without any hassle.
Le Burgundy Hotel Pari review
01 | L APARTMENT SUITE
We have a "go big or stay home" mentality when it comes to travel. If we're crossing the ocean to Paris, we want it to be an epic experience.
The L Apartment Suite, spanning an impressive 871 square feet, was an ideal choice for our family of four.
With two bathrooms, a stunning balcony, and abundant natural light, this expansive suite provided the perfect setting for our family to relax and relish the magnificent view of Paris from the comfort of our own space.
02 | THE EPIC PARIS VIEW
The epic view from our room not only provided a breathtaking panorama but also offered us a glimpse into the pulse of the city.
As we gazed out, we could see people diligently working in their offices and catch the faint whispers of bustling street life below.
This view was more than just a picturesque scene; it served as a captivating window into the daily rhythm of Parisian life. It's moments like these that make traveling worthwhile, and our girls were absolutely enthralled by it!
!BONUS: From the L Apartment Suite, you can even catch a glimpse of the majestic Eiffel Tower. No need to brave the traffic to admire it! Savor the view while indulging in a delicious baguette right in the comfort of your own room.
03 | A TODDLER PROOFED SUITE
Parisians have a penchant for grand and beautiful decorations. During our visit, our youngest was in a particularly "handsy" stage at the age of one. We were concerned about the delicate decor and fragile items in our Le Burgundy Hotel room.
To our relief, Le Burgundy promptly removed all breakable items from our room right after check-in. It provided us with a little peace of mind, allowing us to relax and enjoy our stay without constant worry.
!PRO TIP: Prior to checking in, don't hesitate to ask the hotel to remove any breakable decor from your room. It's a simple request that can make a world of difference in ensuring a stress-free stay.
04 | THE PRIME PARIS LOCATION
When traveling with kids in cities, we always prioritize staying in a location that is centrally located near major attractions and a park.
Le Burgundy Hotel proved to be a convenient choice, as it was just a pleasant 15-minute walk to iconic places like the Louvre, and in close proximity to some of the city's most fashionable shops. I couldn't contain my excitement when I discovered that the original Coco Chanel store was right next to the hotel!
!BONUS: A mere 7-minute walk led us to the enchanting Tuileries Garden. Here's a fun fact: This historic garden was commissioned by Catherine de' Medici in 1564 and was opened to the public in 1667 after the French Revolution. It was a delightful oasis for our family to explore and enjoy during our stay.
05 | LE BURGUNDY FRENCH LAUNDRY SERVICE
What better place to indulge in the French Laundry experience for the first time than in Paris?
While the room itself didn't have a laundry machine, we discovered that the hotel offered a convenient same-day laundry service. It was a lifesaver, allowing us to have our clothes cleaned and returned to us promptly.
To our surprise and delight, our clothes came back smelling absolutely divine. We couldn't quite figure out what magic they worked, but it was a truly memorable touch that added to the overall exceptional experience.
06 | LE BURGUNDY HOTEL IN ROOM DINING MENU
Guests at Le Burgundy Hotel have the option to enjoy breakfast downstairs in the restaurant or indulge in the convenience of room service.
During our stay, we opted for a delightful breakfast in the comfort of our room. We savored a delicious spread of scrambled eggs, accompanied by a side of yogurt, fresh fruit, and perfectly crafted cappuccinos. It was a breakfast worth dreaming about, and the memory lingers in our minds.
!PRO TIP: If you're traveling with a toddler, consider ordering room service for breakfast. It allows you to experience the flavors of French cuisine while enjoying the convenience and privacy of your own room. The toddler years may be fleeting, so take this opportunity to savor those perfectly cooked eggs and savor every sip of your beautiful coffee.
07 | LE BURGUNDY HOTEL AFTERNOON TEA AND PASTRY
Located on the first floor of Le Burgundy Hotel, you have the delightful option of booking Afternoon Tea, featuring exquisite pastries crafted by the talented pastry chef, Pierre Jean Quinonero. These delectable treats are aptly called "savoury pieces of the moment."
If you find yourself unable to partake in the tea experience, fret not! You can have these mouthwatering pastries delivered right to your room for your indulgence.
FUN FACT: Chef Pierre Jean was bestowed the prestigious title of France's 2021 Dessert Champion, further attesting to his exceptional skills and artistry.
This is just one more reason why Le Burgundy is the perfect choice for families. You don't have to venture far from your room to relish some of the finest pastries in all of France. It's a true delight that awaits you, right at your doorstep.
08 | LE BURGUNDY SPA (AND POOL)
Indulge in a luxurious soak in the expansive jet pool of the L Apartment Suite or take a refreshing dip in the hotel's swimming pool.
Rest assured, children are more than welcome to enjoy the pool under adult supervision.
Whichever option you choose, it's a wonderful opportunity to escape and treat yourself to some revitalizing hydrotherapy. It's a perfect way to unwind and rejuvenate during your stay.
09 | THE YELLOW THEMED LOUNGE
Bright, playful, and fun, I loved the yellow chairs in the lobby area where you can wait for your taxi or, sit down while your baby takes a nap.
10 | RESTAURANT LE BAUDELAIRE (MICHELIN STAR)
Being a food enthusiast, I always appreciate hotels that offer exceptional dining experiences. Fortunately, at Le Burgundy Hotel, you don't have to venture far to savor the delights of French gastronomy.
Located on most of the first floor, Restaurant Le Baudelaire awaits, presenting you with a choice of three, four, or five-course menus to tantalize your taste buds.
FUN FACT: Executive Chef Anthony Denon is renowned for his zero-waste approach, showcasing his culinary creativity with vegetables and organic ingredients. During my dining experience with my nine-year-old daughter, we were delighted to discover that the first five plates centered around the versatile beet.
Indulge in a culinary journey within the hotel itself, where each dish reflects the artistry and dedication of Chef Denon and his team.
