For a luxurious family getaway in Cork, Hayfield Manor is the ultimate choice. With easy access to popular attractions like Blarney Castle, Jameson Distillery, The English Market, and a nearby park, Hayfield Manor offers an enchanting stay.
What truly sets this hotel apart is its cozy ambiance, nestled in a beautiful park on a hillside, providing a genuine home away from home experience.
When planning your Ireland itinerary with the little ones, make sure to include a visit to Hayfield Manor. Get ready to be treated like royalty, starting with a delightful assortment of chocolate-dipped strawberries, Turkish delights, blackberries, and assorted chocolates awaiting you upon arrival.
As a family of foodies, we were delighted to discover that Hayfield Manor spoke our culinary language right from the start. And if you happen to arrive early for check-in, don't miss the opportunity to dine at Perrotts Garden Bistro, conveniently located to the right of the main entrance. Indulge in a memorable dining experience amidst a charming setting.

1 | ROOMS & SUITES
Of all the room accommodation options at Hayfield Manor, The Presidential Suite is lovely for a family of four that wants to spread out.
The suite gives families two bedrooms, two bathrooms, and a living room with a dining space where you can enjoy eating together.
You also have a view of the grounds from the entrance end of the manor.
2 | FOOD AND DRINK
IN-ROOM DINING | We took advantage of the in-room dining service option during our stay. One foodie travel tip for those vacationing with a toddler is to order room service for food.
You get to enjoy the same menu that is served in the restaurant without having to worry about running after a toddler when you are eating.
OTHER DINING OPTIONS
03 | FAMILY-FRIENDLY
While you enjoy your visit to Hayfield Manor, pop outside with the kids to visit the bird refuge. Our toddler loved this activity, and it was a relief to find a place on the grounds where kids could run and stretch their feet.
04 | HAYFIELD MANOR SPA
We loved the pool and spa at Hayfield Manor. You can walk from your room, in a luxurious robe (the hotel provides robes for kids), to the swimming pool on the first level.
Kids are welcome to swim under adult supervision.
Parents can also take advantage of the steam room and sauna.
I probably spent 20 minutes in the steam room and would highly recommend the experience to anyone traveling with kids that need to decompress.
The hotel spa also features a list of services for things like massages and facials.
It’s a lovely sanctuary from a long day of tourist activities with kids.
05 | HAYFIELD MANOR AFTERNOON TEA
Hayfield Manor offers an award-winning Afternoon Tea service located in Orchids Restaurant where foodie guests can enjoy a warm cup of tea with assortments of pastries. Gluten-free options are also available for those with gluten intolerance. Just remember to book a time if you decide to take Afternoon Tea at Hayfield Manor.
What to do near Hayfield Manor
01 | FITZGERLAD PARK
A 10 min walk down the hill from Hayfield Manor, past Cork College, you’ll find yourself in Fitzgerald Park.
Enjoy the River Lee, sculptures, gardens, and a playground for children. This is a fantastic morning or afternoon activity when you are staying in the area.
BONUS: Find the Natural Foods Bakery, centrally located in the park. We loved their sandwiches and oatmeal cookies.
02 | THE ENGLISH MARKET
Visit The English Market, a bucket list item for foodie travelers, one of the oldest food markets in Europe.
Eat cheese from On the Pigs Back and visit Hassetts Bakery to grab some bread to go with your cheese.
