Do Dublin! A Westbury Hotel Review
Let me highlight some of the delightful features that made our family stay at The Westbury truly memorable.
01 | ROOMS AND SUITES
When traveling with kids, extra space is a true blessing.
At The Westbury Hotel, the rooms are thoughtfully furnished with light wood and accents of soothing sage green. Your bed is adorned with plush velvet pillows, ensuring a comfortable rest.
Cozy robes await you in the closet, adding a touch of relaxation to your stay.
The Luxury Suite offers a spacious living room, allowing your kids to freely stretch and move around.
Personally, I was enamored by the marble bathroom with its heated floors. I indulged in a blissful hour-long soak in the bathtub, enjoying a moment of pure relaxation.
We also appreciated the convenience of the mini refrigerator in the room. It allowed us to store essentials like milk and snacks that we had collected along our journey.
From our room window, we were treated to a delightful view of Balfe Street, where we could catch glimpses of pub-goers and the vibrant Dublin nightlife.
At The Westbury Hotel, every detail is designed to enhance your family's comfort and enjoyment. It's the perfect haven for a memorable Dublin getaway with your kids.
02 | WESTBURY HOTEL RESTAURANTS AND FOOD
At The Westbury Hotel, families have a wide range of dining options at their fingertips.
From the delightful experience of Afternoon Tea in the cozy gallery room, filled with inviting couches, to the delectable offerings at Balfes Restaurant or the convenience of in-room dining, there's something to satisfy every craving.
One of our personal favorites is the breakfast experience at Wild Cafe. The menu boasts delicious options like the classic Irish Breakfast, while the buffet presents a tempting array of yogurt, granola, fruit, and even cheese or salami.
With a variety of choices available, dining at The Westbury is a true culinary delight for the whole family.

03 | HOSPITALITY & SERVICE
One of the thoughtful gestures we appreciated was the promptness of room service. Just 30 minutes after check-in, there would be a friendly knock on our door, ensuring that we had everything we needed to settle in comfortably.
For families with little ones, baby cots are readily available upon request, ensuring a peaceful and cozy sleeping environment.
Additionally, the hotel offers rollaway beds for children up to 12 years of age. It's a convenient option to accommodate extra guests and provide a comfortable space for your child to rest.
During one of our stays, we were pleasantly surprised when housekeeping added a rollaway bed to our Terrace Suite, allowing our 9-year-old to enjoy a restful night's sleep in their own space.
04 | KID-FRIENDLY ACTIVITIES NEARBY
A five-minute stroll from the hotel, you can find St. Stephen's Green, a park for kids to run and play.
It is a Victorian public park with a playground, ornamental lake, and gardens to sit and relax.
We also love that The Westbury is a two-minute walk to our favorite places to eat around Grafton Street, shops, and the park.
TIP: Don’t forget to buy fresh flowers along the way. There are at least a couple of flower stands that sell gorgeous picks.
